I want bring into notice of you people a matter which must be given a look by government and steps should be taken regarding that so that this mistake cannot be done again
Mr Anand Agarwal RTI activictics an coorporator of Katra Allahabad get a information from a person that Mrs sarla Poondir who is mother of late 2LT Pradeep Singh Poondir is not receiving the special pension which is given to soldier who lost their life in battles for country from 25 years Moreover father of Mr. Poondir is also expired an now she is all alone
He also got information that Mr P S Poondir was died in 1984 in Kargil during operation Meghdoot He was first soldier who lost his life during Meghdoot operation in Kargil
Mr. Pradeep singh Poondir was 2LT of 19 Battalian of Kumaun Regiment who lost his life in 1984 during operation Meghdoot in Kargil To give him honour government of India renamed Pt 5965 a post in Siachen Glacier as Poondir Top
Mr Anand agarwal ask to related department and enquires all informations regarding this by using his right Right to Information Act 2005 Finally after 3 months Mrs Sarla Poondir got his cheque because of efforts of Mr Anand Agarwal
Issue here is not only that the family is not receiving the special pension from 25 years but the main thing I want to say this that if corruption is found in department of such high ranks then what is hope of common man for other governments department If injustice is done with those family who are examples for other country men then what is the future and whole discussion done by government is useless
Now we people of India asking question to government what they will do for such cases and what is their next step whether they set up any inquiry for those careless government employees or this issues also goes to bundle of files
I am also saying also that we don’t know how many cases are there also who are suffering with same issue
On 23rd march when we are celebrating Shahid Divas in memory of our soldier ,it is my request to those related officiers and government employers Please don’t do such careless mistakes which insult as in saying that we are proud to be an Indian and we hope that Indian government must take proper actions and adopt policies so that this type of injustice should be checked and not repeated in future
